Kilmarnock (Barassie) Golf club is not located in Kilmarnock!
Formed in the town in the 19th Century it can now be found in Barassie which is to the north of Troon.
It is well signposted and only two minutes from the centre of Troon along the coast road. If coming from the M77 simply pick up the signposts for Ferry traffic and follow them. When you enter Barassie the golf club is signposted to the right - follow the road round and under the railway bridge and the golf club is on the left hand side.
By Air
Prestwick Airport is only ten minutes from the golf club and there are a variety of inbound flights form the UK and Europe with Ryanair.
By Sea
P&O Ferries operate their Irish Sea service between Larne and Troon during the summer months. Low cost fares are available for golfers coming in from Northern Ireland making Barassie and the rest of Scotland's West Coast Golf Links a perfect location for the short break golf market - their 2010 rates are now bookable.
